AFRICAN UNION ECOSOCC-CHAPTER MAURITIUS

The Economic Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) of the African Union (AU) was established as one of the advisory organs of the African Union in March 2005 (Addis Ababa, Ethopia). This marked the beginning of a new phase in the Union’s activities. ECOSOCC is designed as a coordination and networking tool for the participation of the civil society in the activities of the African Union.

Mauritius has been one of the first members states to propagate and set a national chapter of ECOSOCC . The AUEM is a nationwide platform regrouping a plethora of civil society stakeholders in Mauritius. AUEM is the Voice of a UNITED and ENLIGHTENED Mauritius.
